CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. Among its stations are WCBS-TV and WLNY-TV (New York), KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV (Los Angeles), WBBM-TV (Chicago), KYW-TV and WPSG-TV (Philadelphia), KTVT-TV and KTXA-TV (Dallas-Ft. WUPA-TV Atlanta seeks a leader to conceptualize and develop multi-media promotional strategies to increase brand awareness and ratings of CW 69 TV.
Individual will work at the direction of the General Manager and supervise a promotion, graphics and production staff. Director will create and guide overall promotional messaging, contesting, event, social and outside marketing campaigns. Director will be responsible for devising outside media plans, buying media and implementing plans. Director also oversees local production department, insuring that all production commitments are met on time and within budgets provided.
Director also oversees local production department and CW69 News’ multimedia journalists. Director must insure that all production commitments are met on time and within budgets provided. Director will also be the chief liaison between the station and the WCBS news department.
In this role, Director will assist in supervising MMJ’s work assignments, manage local sports team and work with WCBS on news promotion plans.
Must have television or cable management experience. Requires experience managing creative staffs as well as guiding branding and promotional campaigns. Requires good leadership, organizational and communication skills. Individual will interact with sales, promotion, programming and engineering departments. Must be a good, positive ambassador for the television station.
Preferred: Experience working in a news environment is preferred.
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of seven years of creative direction/management experience at a broadcast or cable network or national ad agency.
Our new CSD will be a progressive thinker that has a proven track record of using digital and social media to create true multimedia promotions.
Must also be able to multi-task and work well under pressure while dealing with on-air scheduling deadlines.
