CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. Among its stations are WCBS-TV and WLNY-TV (New York), KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV (Los Angeles), WBBM-TV (Chicago), KYW-TV and WPSG-TV (Philadelphia), KTVT-TV and KTXA-TV (Dallas-Ft. Worth), KPIX-TV and KBCW-TV (San Francisco), WBZ-TV and WSBK-TV (Boston), WUPA-TV (Atlanta), WWJ-TV and WKBD-TV (Detroit), KSTW-TV (Seattle), WTOG-TV (Tampa-St. Petersburg), WCCO-TV (Minneapolis), KCNC-TV (Denver), WFOR-TV and WBFS-TV (Miami), KOVR-TV and KMAX-TV (Sacramento), KDKA-TV and WPCW-TV (Pittsburgh), WJZ-TV (Baltimore), as well as WCCO-TV’s satellite stations KCCO-TV (Alexandria, Minn.) and KCCW-TV (Walker, Minn.).


WUPA-TV, a CBS-owned station is looking for an experienced Part-Time Multi-Media Journalist (MMJ) to join our team.

We want someone who fights for the lead story, brings ideas to the table daily, cultivates sources, owns social media

and is passionate about local news. Candidates must have strong, creative storytelling skills and an energetic delivery. Please provide a link to examples of broadcast or digital video work.



  • Develop and execute enterprise content on a consistent basis

  • Cover breaking news with a sense of urgency

  • Pitch vetted stories reflective of the community

  • Shoot, write and edit packages for daily newscasts

  • Establish and maintain relationships/sources in the community

  • Produce content for Twitter, Facebook and other social media sites

  • Perform other duties as assigned


  • Ability to shoot and edit broadcast quality video for television newscast and digital platforms

  • Must be proficient on Premiere Pro

  • Must have knowledge of Broadcast ENG camera, lighting, audio and Live U

  • Must be able to work independently with a high degree of accuracy with ability to problem solve quickly

  • Must have very strong social media skills and be able to contribute on all platforms

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, holidays, weekends

  • Must be a team player and able to work under deadlines and have the ability to multi-task

  • College degree in Journalism/Communications/Broadcasting preferred; equivalent experience

  • Minimum 4 years MMJ/television reporting experience preferred
