DESCRIPTION:
We're looking for a vigorous leader ready to be a critical part of our daily news gathering operations. Our next Senior Producer will be responsible for generating Story ideas, shooting, writing, and editing. Candidate must have line producing experience and will also be responsible for overseeing some newscasts. On a daily basis, the Senior Producer will be able to demonstrate creativity through newscasts and visual storytelling while teaching others how to do the same.
Job Responsibilities:
Create unique and memorable stories and newscasts
Generate, write, shoot, edit news stories and request graphic support related to the stories
Copy edit and fact check copy for assigned newscasts
Lead and motivate team to produce compelling newscasts
Ability to use social media for news gathering and driving content across mediums
QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 5 years experience as a main show producer in a major market
Record of producing compelling and memorable newscasts
Basic knowledge of newsroom systems
