We’re looking for a highly skilled candidate with production skills, strong news judgment and an unmistakable sense of urgency to fill the role of Associate Producer for ET Digital. This position is vital in supporting our producing team on a variety of projects.
Pitch stories, pull assets and run prompter for various production needs.
Review, log and transcribe incoming footage from original shoots and work with our Producers in selecting breakout moments to be turned into video packages.
Write news video or segment scripts, as needed, under senior supervision.
Order graphics and pull video/image assets for edits.
Work with video editors to ensure finished product reflects scripts, is legally and creatively approved and consistent with all style and brand guidelines.
Assist producers on field and studio shoots, as needed.
Work within SEO guidelines to write well-crafted titles and descriptions.
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What you bring to the team:
You have -
At least 1 year working in digital video.
A journalism background in a digital newsroom.
Ability to work flexible hours, as coverage needs dictate.
Proficiency with iNews/Media Central or other news rundown system.
Creative vision, strong writing ability and clear, concise thinking.
An unironic love of pop culture and competitive nature that thrives in an environment that requires both speed and accuracy.
Comfort with receiving feedback on both line edits and overall structural changes to the story.
The ability to multitask.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
