Overview and Responsibilities
Company & Program Overview:
Love the world of storytelling? So do we! An internship at Nickelodeon can launch you on an exciting, fun-filled career in children’s entertainment. Nickelodeon produces hits like SpongeBob SquarePants, The Loud House, Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and The Casagrandes…just to name a few! Here at Nickelodeon, we don’t have interns. We have “NICKterns”! Rather than just getting coffee and slaving away behind a copy machine, our NICKternship is a true mentorship program where you (insert name here!) will get the chance to immerse yourself in meaningful projects and become a valuable part of the team. Nickelodeon is a subsidiary of Viacom, which reaches 700 million global subscribers through MTV, Paramount, Comedy Central, BET and other media networks.
In the Nickelodeon Internship Program, interns will be working in a vibrant and inclusive environment alongside employees from diverse backgrounds. Through Campus to Career’s in-depth offerings, interns gain exposure across our business while making significant connections for their future and accessing exciting career opportunities. In addition to hands-on experience our programs include networking, mentorship, resume workshops, speaker sessions, career development, movie screenings, visibility to top industry executives, and much more.
Internship Overview:
Nickelodeon's Animation Production internships are a great place to gain insight into the production pipeline. Interns will be assigned to an animated TV show and will assist the production team with various office responsibilities as well as shadow the production staff, observe creative meetings, attend story pitches, and gain exposure to the workflow. Production interns with an artistic background specifically can gain insight into artistic staff responsibilities and gain hands-on experience in the creative process.
Ideal internship candidates will be dedicated to the production teams, possess a strong work ethic and take on responsibilities and new challenges in order to gain a more detailed knowledge of the television industry and animated pipelines at the company. Candidates must have strong written and verbal communication skills, possess a strong attention to detail, have the ability to multitask, take initiative, have strong organizational skills, and are team players.

Beware of Recruiting Fraud
Job applicants should be aware of job offer scams perpetrated through the use of the Internet and social media platforms. The scammers frequently misappropriate and use a company’s logo and photos of its executives to give the appearance of legitimacy. The scam preys upon those seeking employment, and uses false fraudulent offers of employment with employers, such as CBS, to steal from the victims. CBS believes that one of the best ways to put a stop to this scam is to make you aware of it.
No applicant for employment with CBS is ever required to pay any money as part of the job application or hiring process, and CBS’s job recruitment process involves in person and/or telephonic interviews in most cases.
In addition, CBS’s job recruiting staff sends email communications to job applicants from “@cbs.com” email accounts only. Any email that states to be from CBS but does not have a “@cbs.com” address should be assumed to be fraudulent.
