Overview and Responsibilities

Internship Overview:

Nickelodeon's Animation Casting and Live Action Casting Internships are a great place to gain insight into Nickelodeon projects from original scripted series, pilots and movies, to digital and promo/short-form content. Interns will be assigned to the Animation or Live Action team and will assist the staff with various responsibilities which may include, but are not limited to:

  • Utilize Breakdown Express to upload auditions, search for talent, create links, organize sessions

  • Conduct searches across social media platforms for new & emerging talent, pop culture trends

  • Help organize team files in shared drive

  • Create character breakdowns/actor lists on development scripts, build talent brainstorm lists

  • Create and edit casting sizzles

  • Create newsletters with relevant industry news/competitive updates

  • Attend/view table reads and run-throughs on pilots and current series

  • Coordinate the booking of voice-over talent for Nickelodeon promos across all brands for on-air and digital (inclusive of Nickelodeon, Nick Jr, Nick at Nite, TeenNick, Nicktoons, Nick Corporate and VDS) and maintain up-to-date record of all talent bookings for contract and legal reference, as well as a record of talent contracts under yearly blanket agreements

Ideal internship candidates will be dedicated to the casting teams, possess a strong work ethic and take on responsibilities and new challenges in order to gain a more detailed knowledge of the television industry. Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, possess a strong attention to detail, have the ability to multitask and take initiative, have strong organizational skills, and must be team players.
