CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. Among its stations are WCBS-TV and WLNY-TV (New York), KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV (Los Angeles), WBBM-TV (Chicago), KYW-TV and WPSG-TV (Philadelphia), KTVT-TV and KTXA-TV (Dallas-Ft. The CBS11/TXA21 Production Department has a full-time employment opportunity for an Operations Technician, who has demonstrated a varied television and multimedia production skillset and has demonstrated a positive commitment to overall production operations. The Production Operations Technician’s duties will include the use of a variety of television and multimedia production operating systems during ‘live’ and pre-recorded television and other video productions. Existing knowledge of in-studio and remote camera operations is a must. In addition, working knowledge of other production operating systems is required. Other systems include a combination of technical directing, audio operations, long and short form editing, teleprompter and floor directing responsibilities, and experience on remote production operations.
The ideal candidate will have proven ability to perform the duties involved in several of these areas of responsibility. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated a positive, team-oriented attitude and demonstrated a desire to learn and improve upon a varied television and multimedia production skillset.
