The President/CMO is seeking a highly motivated, strategic and adaptable individual with excellent communications and analytical skills, who can manage efforts to lead a wide range of strategic projects, as well as build bridges across internal CBS marketing teams, other CBS organizational departments and sister-company business units. This role provides a highly-visible opportunity to make a difference as we seek to aggressively align and grow our global portfolio of businesses and their related marketing efforts. The Chief of Staff, CBS Marketing, will support operational, financial and communications activities in the office of the President/CMO to help facilitate effective decision-making and implementation of a multitude of strategic, organizational, operational and synergistic opportunities that will provide greater insights, collaboration and strategic alignment across internal and external partners. He/she will provide oversight and guidance to discreet projects and initiatives, particularly focused on the execution of the transformation of our overall brand marketing vision, day-to-day work flow, overall performance and help support with relevant corporate communications.
Support the President/CMO in the most strategic and timely aspects of his role.
Establish trusted relationships across the extended management team, i.e., C-suite leaders, key client leaders, holding company leaders, etc., facilitating communication and serving as an extension of the President/CMO in staying connected to key leaders.
Work closely with the senior leadership team to solve immediate problems and capitalize on opportunities to improve.
Track and keep the President/CMO and members of the extended leadership team apprised of progress on key priorities, projects and initiatives.
Work to develop and implement new processes and mechanisms that will ultimately improve team performance, creativity, communication, collaboration.
Work with strategy implementation team to build out infrastructure and process to enable organizational and team transformation.
Liaise and actively support in the development with corporate communications team on the internal and external communications on behalf of the President/CMO; attend as needed external events for support.
Prepare content, presentations and follow up to be used by the President/CMO for internal and external meetings.
Attend key leadership and planning meetings with the President/CMO and manage follow-up on commitments and action items.
10+ years’ experience with project/program management.
Bachelor’s degree. MBA preferred.
Experienced and knowledgeable in a data gathering and analytics from multiple and disparate sources.
Intimately familiar with entertainment marketing processes and operations.
Strategic planning, budget and financial management.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
