DESCRIPTION:

The Manager, Program Coordination will work with the Management Team in supervising the CBS and The CW Program Coordination Teams and their workflows for Network Broadcast, along with other avenues of programming.

  • Collaborate with Management Team in development of Network Programming multi-platform cloud-based workflows from content delivery and preparation, to final content delivery to the CBS Media Distribution Center.

  • Gather Pilot and Series delivery requirements, technical specifications, and format structures from internal teams—Development, Current Programming, Network Sales, Media Planning, Affiliate Relations, Business Affairs, and Standards and Practices. Distribute Final Delivery information to external partners—Production Companies, Post Houses, Captioning Agencies, and Studios. Field questions during the production and post-production process to final delivery. Negotiate broadcast formats based on schedule and other criteria, and act responsively with sudden programming changes due to current events and conflicts.

  • Manage and schedule Video Editorial Bays based on Coordination Team and Editors’ needs, program and other content deliveries, Network Broadcast delivery deadlines, and holidays.

  • Manage and schedule Associate Directors’ quality assurance checks and content delivery to the CBS Media Distribution Center, based on Coordination Team needs, program and other content deliveries, Network Broadcast delivery deadlines, and holidays.

  • Manage and schedule Associate Directors for directing live Network broadcasts of daily and weekly shows, and other live special events, along with Canadian simulcasts and Network shadows as needed. Secure staff for off-air records of live broadcast, editorial fixes and delivery to CBS Air Control for the Pacific Network broadcast. Work with Standards and Practices on any live broadcasts requiring a delay and their services to circumvent FCC violations on air.

  • Acquire assigned Standby Program episodes from Program Planning and Scheduling, prepare and deliver programming to the CBS MDC Distribution Center, and issue broadcast formats to internal teams - Network Sales, Media Planning, Affiliate Relations, and others involved in the live Network broadcast.

  • Support Coordination Team through all faucets of the Program Preparation workflow. Draw on expertise when decision making post-production and broadcast questions and concerns, and intercede and manage special broadcast requests from Executives.

  • Resource scheduling and billing of Program Coordination work through MediaPulse.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Extensive experience in media, entertainment and distribution.

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Experience implementing proactive communications plans.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Motivated self-starter with attention to detail.
