DESCRIPTION:

The Program Coordinator, Program Coordination will work with the Management Team and workflows for the CBS and The CW Network Broadcast, along with other avenues of programming.

  • Collaborate with Management Team in development of Network Programming multi-platform cloud-based workflows from content delivery and preparation, to final content delivery to the CBS Media Distribution Center.

  • Gather Series delivery requirements, technical specifications, and format structures from internal teams—Current Programming, Network Sales, Media Planning, Affiliate Relations, Business Affairs, and Standards and Practices. Distribute Final Delivery information to external partners—Production Companies, Post Houses, Captioning Agencies, and Studios. Field questions during the production and post-production process to final delivery. Negotiate broadcast formats based on schedule and other criteria, and act quickly to sudden programming changes due to current events and conflicts.

  • Program Coordinator will work on one or more of the following assignments- Taped Specials, Late Night Programming, Movies, Daytime Programming, Children’s Programming, and Billboard Production - oversee delivery requirements, technical specifications, and format structures from internal teams—Network Sales, Media Planning, Affiliate Relations, Business Affairs, and Standards and Practices. Distribute Final Delivery information to external partners—Production Companies, Post Houses, Captioning Agencies, and Studios. Field questions during the production and post-production process to final delivery. Communicate with CBS and The CW Executives during process, field their questions, problem solve issues, and handle Executives’ requests. Negotiate broadcast formats based on schedule and other criteria, and act quickly to sudden programming changes due to current events and conflicts.

  • Supervise all facets of the Program Preparation and draw on expertise when decision making post-production and broadcast questions, and concerns. Supervise Program Prep Edit sessions and lower third graphics placement, based on program and other content deliveries, Network Broadcast delivery deadlines, and holidays. When content issues arise, respond to the appropriate persons to secure corrected materials within a strict time frame to avoid Network broadcast errors and potential revenue loss. Work with Associate Directors’ quality assurance checks and content delivery to the CBS Media Distribution Center.

  • Supervise all facets of live Network broadcasts of daily and weekly shows, and other live Specials events, along with Canadian simulcasts and Network shadows as needed. Work with Media Operations staff for off-air records of live broadcasts, editorial fixes and delivery to CBS or The CW Air Control for the Pacific Network broadcast. Work with Standards and Practices on any live broadcasts requiring a delay and their services to circumvent FCC violations on air.

  • Acquire assigned Standby Programming episodes from Management Team, prepare and deliver programming to the CBS MDC Distribution Center, and issue broadcast formats, based on live Network event broadcast deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Extensive experience in media, entertainment and distribution

  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Experience implementing proactive communications plans

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously

  • Motivated self-starter with attention to detail
