DESCRIPTION:

The Special Events Broadcast Associate works with Special Events EP, Senior Broadcast producer and Producers along with Directors, Graphics Operators and Special Ops team in control room during Special Reports and Prime time coverage and prior to planned Special events. Duties include gathering elements, graphics and research for breaking news and planned coverage. Additional duties for Special Reports and major events (ie: election related shows) include: preparing correspondents for live hits and producing liveshots. Also the BA will gather elements for packages as well as coordinates logistics for various projects. The BA also complies thorough research for various events. The ideal candidate is a team player with exceptional organizational skills, is detail-oriented, and has the ability to both multi-task and keep a calm head under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.

QUALIFICATIONS:

QUALIFICATIONS

-Internship or comparable experience working on a news broadcast. 1-2 years of experience with a network news program or cable news network preferred

-Bachelor’s in Communications or related discipline

-Able to work under pressure and under strict deadlines

-Strong communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills

-Able to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines

-An interest in political is a plus

References required.
