DESCRIPTION:

60 Minutes is seeking an Associate Producer, Digital to help write and produce multimedia news stories for the digital platforms of 60 Minutes. The Associate Producer will generally be working alongside an Editor as part of an AP/Editor team working to tell stories in the style and tradition of 60 Minutes, geared towards digital audiences on a variety of platforms. The candidate should be a self-starter, who enjoys pitching creative ideas and seeing them through to execution and measurement. A strong writer is required, who thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative edit process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications:

  • Newsroom experience in digital, print, or broadcast is required

  • Experience fact-checking scripts, articles, or broadcast stories is helpful

  • Ability to work under tight deadline pressure

  • Proven ability to write compelling, accurate, thoughtful news copy for multiple digital platforms

  • A willingness to work flexible hours as the production schedule dictates
