DESCRIPTION:

ViacomCBS is seeking an HR Coordinator to join our Television Stations group. This role will be based in New York City and provide support to the Television Stations HR Business Partners, as well as aid and facilitate the human resources processes at all business locations across the country.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the department including setting up meetings and conference calls, coordinating travel, preparing and processing T&E reports, mailing, scanning and emailing documents, and performing other clerical functions.

  • Possess basic knowledge of company policies and benefit plans in order to provide guidance and assist with employee questions or refer to the appropriate resource.

  • Provide basic support to line managers in all aspects of the employee HR cycle and escalate any issues as necessary.

  • Prepare date reports and org charts for department on an ongoing or as-needed basis, which may include employee population, turnover rate, recruitment time, diversity rate, etc.

  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and initiatives as requested.

  • Coordinate new hire orientation for NY employees and other locations as needed.

  • Assist with all aspects of onboarding new employees and offboarding separating employees from an administrative and systems perspective.

  • Maintain all hard-copy personnel and other HR-related files.

  • Inputting job requisitions into Avature and assisting with tracking/updating application information through the recruitment process.

  • Scheduling interviews for HR staff and coordinating with line managers as needed.

  • Assist with internship program by reviewing resumes, phone screening, interviewing, orientation, computer set-up, timesheet approval, etc.

  • Participate in and attend career fairs and other outreach initiatives, as needed, throughout the year.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • College degree preferred; major in Human Resources, Business Administration or related coursework a plus.

  • Prior Human Resources internship or related experience required.

  • Strong desire to learn and grow a career in HR.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills required.

  • Position requires a high degree of integrity and the ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.

  • Must be able to think proactively and analytically, with great attention to detail.

  • Must be able to work in a collaborative team environment, as well as independently.

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects at one time.

  • Must be able to function in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment and change priorities on a moment's notice.

  • Must have expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
