The Manager, Broadcast Operations will be responsible for working with a broad range of internal and external contacts to ensure that operations needs are met for the successful transmission, commercial integration, and broadcast of high-profile live and recorded events.

  • Assist in managing and distributing Broadcast Operations Manuals, including facilities information pertaining to Coord rooms, comms, distribution lines and transmission information for CBS Sports broadcasts.

  • Coordinate with other sports broadcasters such as ESPN, FOX, etc. for the procurement of their live event programming for highlight and other uses within CBS Sports live programming.

  • Work with MDC and MAM to coordinate delivery of prerecorded Sports programming airing directly from CBS MDC.

  • Coordinate resources needing live sports Program Practices delay with COE.

  • Work with telecom team to maintain and manage phone lines and ringdowns needed for Broadcast Operations purposes.

  • Assist in booking live 2-ways for CBS Sports studio programming.

  • Manage commercial feeds to broadcast partners when necessary.

  • Assist Director of Traffic Operations with creating commercial formats and rotations for shows delivered by an outside packager as well as during the NCAA Tournament.

  • Book Associate Directors for studio highlights during NFL and NCAA seasons.

  • Schedule Coord technical personnel in Media Pulse.

  • Book facilities and manpower, as well as submit work orders for record requests from production.

  • Confirm transmission, facilities, and manpower billing using Dot Pomis system.

  • Assist Broadcast Operations Directors with other assignments as needed.

  • Participate as part of Broadcast Operations team in providing officer coverage in the NYBC as determined from time to time by the VP Broadcast Operations for all on-air live and pre-recorded Sports events.


'- Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure in a live television environment.

  • Minimum of three years experience in live broadcast production or operations.

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.

  • Knowledge of Media Pulse a plus.
