Division Overview:
CBSN Originals is the long form documentary unit of CBS News -- producing a series that combines the strength of CBS News' original reporting with a distinct, immersive brand of storytelling.
Role Details:
We are looking for a new team member to coordinate production and post for our documentaries and documentary series. In this position, you play a critical role in working with producers at all stages of CBSN Originals documentary production - including, but not limited to: logistical support, invoices and vendor payment processing, post production support, and overall coordination.
Your Day-to-Day:
Support Producers and production management with assistance in securing locations, legal documents, and any intangible items prior to shoot day
Maintain efficient workflow and production timelines of multiple ongoing projects
Booking transportation, lodging, etc. for free-lance Producers, Cinematographers, and other free-lance team members as needed
Schedule audio, edit or other specialty sessions needed for completion of a project
Assist Associate Producer with licensing of footage, photos and music for digital platforms and documentaries, as well as other deliverables
QUALIFICATIONS:
What you bring to the team:
You have -
3+ years of related work experience in TV/Digital production and production management
Experience in coordinating field production shoots, supporting producers and on-air talent
Capable of balancing multiple projects simultaneously, with strong emphasis on organization and attention to detail
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-based, constantly evolving environment while remaining organized and detail-oriented
Consistent track record of displaying leadership qualities, strong interpersonal and communication skills
