Social Media Broadcast Associate, CBS This Morning

CBS This Morning is looking for a dynamic Social Media Broadcast Associate to join their growing social media team!

Responsibilities

  • Help create social / digital content for CBS This Morning

  • Assist with day-to-day social output including live tweeting during the broadcast, producing green room extras, etc plus overall weekly priorities

  • Help develop ideas for unique social content for on-air talent, exclusive interviews, original reporting, special projects and breaking news

  • Turn news making interviews and stories with viral potential into shareable tweets, graphics and social-specific videos

QUALIFICATIONS:

Qualifications

  • One to three years of experience working in digital and social content at a news organization

  • Strong writing skills with fluency in use of all major social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)

  • Experience with video editing and shooting for social media

  • Creative self-starter and strong work ethic

  • Ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines

  • Deep interest in news events, culture and the people/ideas shaping our world

  • Strong communicator of ideas

  • Willingness to adapt working schedule to cover special events and breaking news

  • Experience working with on-air talent a plus

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above

  • Position based in NY
