CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. Among its stations are WCBS-TV and WLNY-TV (New York), KCBS-TV and KCAL-TV (Los Angeles), WBBM-TV (Chicago), KYW-TV and WPSG-TV (Philadelphia), KTVT-TV and KTXA-TV (Dallas-Ft. Worth), KPIX-TV and KBCW-TV (San Francisco), WBZ-TV and WSBK-TV (Boston), WUPA-TV (Atlanta), WWJ-TV and WKBD-TV (Detroit), KSTW-TV (Seattle), WTOG-TV (Tampa-St. Petersburg), WCCO-TV (Minneapolis), KCNC-TV (Denver), WFOR-TV and WBFS-TV (Miami), KOVR-TV and KMAX-TV (Sacramento), KDKA-TV and WPCW-TV (Pittsburgh), WJZ-TV (Baltimore), as well as WCCO-TV’s satellite stations KCCO-TV (Alexandria, Minn.) and KCCW-TV (Walker, Minn.).
KDKA-TV is looking for a part-time freelance producer to assist in the production of our #1 Lifestyle and entertainment show: Pittsburgh Today Live (PTL.) This person will be responsible for helping with the development of our daily hour-long show. We do all kinds of fun stuff with this hour! We cook. We build. We game. We interview. We talk. We laugh. We’re looking for someone who wants to have fun alongside a team that works hard.
Assisting in the production of lifestyle content for a morning audience
Pitch, book and vet guests for lifestyle and topical segments, including client-based segments
Field produce live remote productions
Produce social and digital content
Write and produces topical content.
Creative track record of producing content - whether it’s in a newscast or similar lifestyle program
Fill-in for the primary show producer
Requirements and Skills:
Excellent communication skills, both oral & written for broadcasting and digital platforms
Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and multi-task
Shooting and editing content
