DESCRIPTION:
Your Day-to-Day:
Bring to bear infrastructure-as-code frameworks to provision and maintain cloud resources
Build, maintain, and manage clusters for technologies like Kubernetes
Lead the design, implementation of our cloud infrastructure repositories including CI/CD pipeline and different development environments
Support containerized workflows and applications
Drive container adoption among developers and teams
Work with development teams to migrate applications to containers
Research and deployment of new technologies to continue to drive innovation
Improve the software development process across teams
Work with operations and development teams to understand bottlenecks and to drive automation priorities
Optimize performance and cost of cloud resources
Develop and document reusable processes for use by other data teams
Monitor and resolve operational issues related to infrastructure and data pipelines
Key Projects:
Automate deployment processes for the data management teams
Build, Maintain and improve our Infrastructure as Code (IaC) repositories for our products and services
Collaborate with our development teams on re-architecture of existing systems into the cloud
Build, maintain, and handle clusters for technologies like Kubernetes
Work on improving the software development process across teams
Drive container adoption among developers and teams
Work closely with development teams to find solutions to technical problems
QUALIFICATIONS:
What you bring to the team:
You have -
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
2+ years of experience containerizing applications using Docker/Kubernetes/EKS/Helm
Deep Experienced with Linux systems
2+ years design and implementation experience of Cloud systems in GCP and/or AWS using "infrastructure as code" tools like Terraform
Experience with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, CircleCI, GCP CloudBuild, Github Actions
Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS
Experience with Cloud Networking (Availability Zones, VPC's, AWS Direct Connect, etc)
Experience in Python
You might also have -
Experience in Google Dataflow/Apache Beam is a plus
Experience in Apache NiFi is a plus
GCP and/or AWS certification
