Role Details:

We are seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer who will help drive our system’s evolution! The role is an integral part of the central Video Streaming & Operations team, that will work with video tech engineers to build and release products for various platforms like Desktop, OTT, Mobile. The candidate will also be responsible for doing minimal video quality check, building, deploying and handling video encoding application to cloud (AWS/GCP).

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Lead the design, implementation of our public Cloud infrastructure including CI/CD, provisioning, sizing, and infrastructure as code

  • Work with other engineers to maintain and evolve our video encoding platform

  • Manage our cloud infrastructure for video editing tools.

  • Investigate and resolve video encoding issues

  • Work closely with the QA coordinator to facilitate testing across a variety of devices

  • Support our development teams across multiple properties in an AGILE environment

  • Additional other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Key Projects:

  • Optimizing our video encoding platform on AWS/GCP Cloud Infrastructure

  • Implementation of Infrastructure as Code for provisioning using such tools as Terraform

  • Collaborate with our development teams on re-architecture of existing systems into the cloud

  • Integrate monitoring system into encoding pipeline to do auto quality check post transcoding


What you bring to the team:

You have -

  • 3+ years leading the design and implementation of Cloud systems in AWS/GCP using tools like Terraform, Puppet

  • BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience

  • Experienced with Linux systems

  • Experience with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins, CircleCI, GCP CloudBuild

  • Experience containerizing applications using Docker/Kubernetes/ECS

  • Knowledgeable in programming language such as Python, PHP or Java

You might also have -

  • Experienced with video codecs: H264, HEVC, AV1, VP9

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or similar
