Brand Overview:

The CBS Television Distribution Digital (CTD) group at CBS Interactive creates digital / video focused desktop, mobile, and app experiences, managing digital and social for first-run television syndication brands including Star Trek, Dabl, Entertainment Tonight and ET Live, Inside Edition, Rachael Ray, The Doctors and The Drew Barrymore Show.

Role Details:

Our team is seeking a Product Manager focused on supporting efforts on and ET Live apps. The ideal candidate is an experienced problem solver with the ability to lead discussions around design architecture, testing, and development of elegant solutions alongside teams of front- and back-end engineers, UX, designers, and QA analysts. Our Product Manager will socialize the performance of their product to stakeholders and internal teams so that everyone is working towards a common goal and for our users.

Your Day-to-Day:

  • Manage multiple projects from inception through launch

  • Collaborate with teams of developers, designers, QA, AdOps, legal, and measurement operations to launch features

  • Ideate with teams and translate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap into product initiatives, epics, and user stories that can be communicated to engineering, QA, and other cross-functional site stakeholders

  • Prioritize product backlog and work closely with other product owners in planning sprints for team success and deliveries which meet business objectives

  • Partner with the engineering team to prioritize and resolve costly bugs and issues quickly and efficiently

  • Operate both independently and as part of a broader team; juggle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a results-oriented environment

  • Interpret usage data to identify successes and failures in order to develop actionable solutions

  • Keep stakeholders up-to-date on product development through weekly meetings

  • Be an in-house expert on web experiences; stay up-to-date on the latest streaming trends

  • Additional other duties and responsibilities, as assigned

Key Projects:

  • Works side-by-side with in-house engineers, design, and project teams in an agile development environment

  • Work with stakeholders to turn the key on successful user acquisition

  • Seek out opportunities to increase product engagement through thoughtful data and competitive analysis

  • Further, develop Inside Edition stream distribution

  • Continuously test theories, iterate on testing, and socialize key findings from A/B testing and user testing

  • Collaborate with other product owners ensuring vital product and technology knowledge is shared across the team

  • Join important training sessions to further develop your skills and knowledge of new tools and products which aid in further meeting business goals


What you bring to the team:

You have -

  • 3+ years of experience in product management and directly managing a scrum team

  • Experience in online, mobile, or OTT product management

  • Daily use of video streaming platforms and services

  • Hands-on experience working within SCRUM or other agile development methodologies

  • Extremely motivated and detail-oriented individual who is energized by big challenges, works well under pressure, can manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and has excellent communication & interpersonal skills

  • Passionate about user experience and you balance their needs with the needs of the business

You may also have -

  • Experience defining, developing, and managing experiments for A/B testing or user testing

  • Experience developing feature wireframes/mocks with Sketch or other tools

  • Proficient in G Suite and MS Office

  • Experience working with video streaming technologies, CMS platforms, A/B testing tools, display and video ads, ecommerce, Conviva, Omniture, and Tableau

  • You geek out and consume all things streaming technology, entertainment and news

  • Bachelor's degree in business, technology, computer science, media or relevant fields
