Division Overview:

CBS Sports Digital, a division of CBS Interactive, provides premium online and mobile content to the connected sports fan, including live and on-demand video, in-depth analysis, breaking news, and scores and statistics across major pro and college sports through and the CBS Sports app on iOS, Android, and key connected TV platforms.

Role Details:

The Product Operations Intern will work with the video product manager to help ensure the successful operations of CBS Sports video products on all platforms including Connected TV devices, mobile apps, and desktop/mWeb.

The Product Operations Intern is a key point of contact in ensuring that all aspects of our video product operations are running efficiently. This will require working with multiple partner groups across CBS Sports and CBS Interactive to ensure the right information is in the right hands at the right time.

Your Day-to-Day:

Day-to-day tasks may include but not be limited to:

  • Coordinate with marketing and editorial to collect the necessary details to promote and our events to the viewers in a meaningful and enticing way.

  • Work with third-party vendors to ensure our App Store listings are optimized and most accurately reflect the current feature and content set of the product.

  • Collaborate with Editorial and Video Programming teams to ensure content is presented in a manner that meets the needs and goals of editorial teams.

  • Work closely with Streaming Operations teams ensure they know all the relevant details and have all the information they need to make sure our events run smoothly.

  • Coordinate and assist in the testing of new technologies and product features as we roll them out to enhance the experience of our live events.

  • Assist in the app submission process and ensure we have all the right artifacts required to ensure product updates are rolled out in a timely manner.

  • Create support and training documents for internal and external users and assist in training new users as they are brought onto the system.


  • This is a paid internship and can also be for university credit if it meets your university's guidelines


What you bring to the team:

You have -

  • An understanding of Product Management concepts and a desire to work in the field of Product Management

  • An understanding of the digital media industry

  • Some basic knowledge of technology

  • Solid organization, communication, time and task management skills

  • Able to autonomously complete given goals or objectives

  • A desire to learn and grow

  • Intern must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or bootcamp

  • Must be at least 18 years old

You might also have -

  • An interest in sports and/or digital media is a plus

  • Interest and/or knowledge in digital video
