ET Digital produces content for both ET Live, our 24/7 pop culture and entertainment news streaming network, and ETonline, a top three entertainment news network and the No. 1 producer of entertainment video online for more than 2 years straight, according to comScore. Entertainment Tonight is the leading entertainment news video creator, hands down! From trending news to exclusive interviews to live events (miss them!), ET is everywhere, talking to everyone, breaking all the news and we are looking for a skilled video producer who can make sure all that great content is optimized and distributed across every social media platform.
The ET Digital team is looking for a Content Producer who will understand the unique audience differences across various and emerging social media platforms and how that impacts storytelling. The producer is passionate about the latest trending topics in pop culture, but also understands the history of pop culture and is excited to dig through ET’s epic vault to surface unique nuggets for a new audience.
Pitch, produce and script videos for distribution across ET’s digital platforms, including but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, IGTV, Instagram Reels, Twitter and TikTok
Review incoming footage from original shoots and select breakout moments to be turned into social video
Surface relevant past interviews and footage from the ET Vault
Develop new franchises and formats for storytelling and breaking news
Order graphics and pull video/image assets for edits
Manage editorial calendar for social video around birthdays, anniversaries, news events, etc
Work with video editors to ensure the finished product reflects scripts, is legally and creatively approved and consistent with all style and brand guidelines
Assist in planning and coordination for special event coverage
Maintain consistent brand tone in scripts and finished videos
Work with Growth & Engagement and Business Intelligence teams to distribute videos, follow best practices and track and analyze video performance

What you bring to the team:
You have -
3+ years working in digital video
A journalism background in a digital newsroom
Proficiency in Premiere and Photoshop, as well as iNews/Media Central or other news rundown system
Deep understanding of publishing on various social platforms and nuances of the end-user experience on each
A keen eye for visual storytelling with strong editorial news judgment
A deep love of pop culture and competitive nature that thrives in an environment that requires both speed and accuracy
Comfort with receiving feedback on both line edits and overall structural changes to the story
Ability to work flexible hours, as coverage needs dictate

Track record of creating original content based upon breaking news, social memes, and trends
Enthusiasm for working in a news environment that can be different every day
Knowledge of social video analytics and audience sentiment indicators
An unmistakable sense of urgency and ambition to be at the top of the competitive set
A keen awareness of a digital media landscape that is constantly evolving and adapting as business needs change and audiences shift their attention and how that will affect our brand
