CBS Television Stations consists of 29 owned-and-operated stations, including 16 that are part of the CBS Television Network, eight affiliates of The CW Network, three independent stations and two MyNetworkTV affiliates. DESCRIPTION:

CBS Chicago is looking for a Sales Planner who will work alongside our Sales team to develop strategic sales proposals and materials.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creation of proposals and presentations to meet client objectives and maximize station revenue.

  • Assist in the coordination of sales marketing materials.

  • Work with the sales team to build media plans and schedules based on inventory and pricing strategy.

  • Work as a liaison with clients to ensure that all deliverables and contractual limitations are met.

  • Monitor and recap deliverables, on air sponsorships and elements.

  • Collaborate with the sales team in the creation of unique and customized proposals.

  • Monitor audience delivery on client linear and digital campaigns.

  • Work with Account Executives and Inventory Coordinator to manage preemptions and programming changes.

  • Develop a strong understanding of our products and solutions.

  • Establish relationships with agency and advertising clients.

CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - with special emphasis on Power Point presentations

  • Understanding of basic TV audience measurement.

  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to multi-task and handle projects independently.

QUALIFICATIONS:

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum two years’ work experience in related field. College preferred

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office - with special emphasis on Power Point presentations

  • Understanding of basic TV audience measurement.

  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.

  • Exceptional organizational skills, ability to multi-task and handle projects independently.

  • Team player
