Overview:

As VP of Programmatic Activation & Data Operations for the Marketing Acquisition & Campaign Services (MACS) team, you will report into the SVP of General Operations and lead the programmatic marketing team supporting Paramount Streaming Services (Paramount+ with Showtime, Pluto TV)! You will also oversee all tactical data collection and audience segmentation, putting in place systems and privacy-compliant processes to reach the right users at the right time. In this role you will be working alongside marketing channel owners to develop strategies aimed at driving growth for the streaming organization and its products. You will be leading a team of traders in day to day operations and activations, while also overseeing external partner management, internal communication of programmatic initiatives and leading projects to drive marketing innovation. Additionally, you will oversee a vertical of media optimization and performance analysts who will serve the entire MACS org to create cohesive tactical storytelling across all paid media channels, The ideal candidate will have technical experience in media buying but also ad & data operations, analytics and executive presence. Role and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the programmatic marketing team through training, optimizations, goal setting and media innovation 
  • Partner internally across the streaming organization and Paramount to unlock opportunities and develop strategy 
  • Manage the external partner relationship across media buying platforms, publishers, and data and technology partners 
  • Own the programmatic roadmap to support the key goals and objectives of the streaming organization and communicate vision across the organization
  • Onboard new partners as needed to help achieve goals 
  • Create a testing roadmap for programmatic activation that fits into the larger MACS org and its internal partners
  • Oversee a top to bottom audit of all available 1st party data available to the MACS team for targeting and analysis purposes
  • Own all data and audience collection technologies in relation to the MACS team and codify all significant processes for making that data actionable.
  • Own the contractual and commercial relationships for all technology vendors related to this audience development.
  • Put in place an educational and technical implementation for the cookieless future.
  • Own the implementation and oversight of all necessary data clean rooms and matching technologies.
  • Partner closely with the Paramount Global Legal, Privacy, and Data Governance teams to ensure all data collection and audience usage occurs in a manner aligned with all internal policies and applicable government regulations.
  • Oversee a team of optimization analysts and coordinate an internal communication framework across the MACS org to ensure all verticals are aligned on critical metrics, current performance, and future optimizations. 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in programmatic performance, brand marketing, or data / audience operations roles.
  • Bachelor's degree compatible to this position required with a preference for science, math, economics, business, or marketing majors.

 

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with all major programmatic demand side platforms
  • Experience overseeing all ad operations and ad trafficking.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with an ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective time management skills – ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, knowledge of relational databases, SQL, or R/Python a huge plus
  • Strong analytical/quantitative skills and the ability to draw insights from extremely large datasets with minimal support
  • Ability to thrive in a small, intense, and high growth environment

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

 

Hiring Salary Range: $176,800.00 - 240,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.  The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable,  as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.
