DESCRIPTION:

CBS Studios seeks an audit Supervisor who will act as a liaison between Participations, outside auditors, Residuals, IT and other internal business units. Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Coordinating audit fieldwork, analyzing participation claims, litigation research.

  • Tracking of incoming royalty statements to ascertain completeness and accuracy

  • Extract, validate and integrate data from multiple sources

  • Supporting month-end diligence of data mapped into the participations, residuals and general ledger systems

  • Reconciling the department system activity to source systems and researching discrepancies

  • Provide research and related support as needed

  • Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in Entertainment accounting, Participations accounting is preferred but not required

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong analytical experience and business acumen

  • Ability to read and reasonably understand complex legal agreements

  • Advance Excel skill level

  • Strong understanding of database structure and ability to create and maintain new databases

  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software

  • High level of organization, documentation skills, and attention to detail

  • Outstanding time management skills to handle multiple and changing priorities

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Must be able to interact professionally with outside auditors and all levels of management and other team members

  • Must be able to maintain confidential information
