DESCRIPTION:
CBS News Radio Network is seeking a strong candidate to be part of our Network Technical Support team with experience in Broadcast IT and IP systems. This position is based in New York Headquarters. This Hands-on role requires the ability to work directly to support the work of the production and editorial staff of a 24/7/365 network newsroom.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
IT support for 70+ users
Serve as first responder to newsroom, control rooms and studios
Manage data on shared and virtualized storage.
Maintain virtualized Windows and Linux servers and PC’s.
Maintain specialized client software for audio recording, editing and post-production.
Setup and optimize Adobe Creative Cloud (Adobe Audition) DAWs
Support ENPS news gathering production system
Broadcast IT Functions working with IBEW technicians
Support of Ethernet based shared storage devices
Office 365 setup and support including One Drive and SharePoint
Basic A/V Support
Ability to travel for emergency and planned remotes
On-call remote support for overnights and weekends, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
At least 4 years of IT broadcast related support.
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft O365 support and maintenance.
BA in IT or Media related field
Preferred:
Experience with AOIP (audio over IP systems) like Dante or Livewire
Experience in studios or remote audio set-ups (DJing or Sporting Event PAs, for example) #DICE
