DESCRIPTION:

  • Ingest/download all incoming photo assets (including unit, gallery, events). Manage assets by adhering to naming conventions, file and folder structures, and metadata standards. Convert and process RAW files.

  • Act as photographer on assignments such as talk shows, game shows, red carpet events & alternate programming. Must be able to shoot, light, and assist studio assignments.

  • Work as a digital tech/editor at live events and photo shoots using CaptureOne. Speed and efficiency are a must.

  • Provide communication and instructions for asset delivery. Upload and troubleshoot for internal and external photographers.

  • Mind talent approval rights and contracts; send & track photo approvals accordingly.

  • Provide production support at photoshoots when needed.

  • Maintain the internal filing systems by inputting metadata for all photo coverage generated out of the LA Photo department.

  • Upload assets to multiple databases (3rd party DAM system, DF Studio, Box, hard drives) and maintain organization and consistency across all platforms.

  • Distribute assets to NY photo department, ad agencies, studios and partners; record and track distribution.

  • Manage 3rd party retouching by creating work orders, providing guidance/feedback to the vendor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the photography field (concentration in the entertainment industry is a plus).

  • Extensive knowledge of Photo Mechanic, Capture One, FileMaker Pro, and Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, especially Photoshop. Experience with DF Studio is a plus.

  • At least 3 years of experience taking photographs in a professional setting (ie. unit and event photography).

  • Knowledge of Mac & PC operations.

  • Extensive knowledge of lighting.

  • Ability to work in high-pressure situations.
